Dr. Lavencia DeBerry is the founder of Prophetic Wings Ministries. In 2004 she accepted her call to the office of Prophetess, after Prophet Kevin Leal laid hands on her; thrust her in the middle of a room filled with people and told her to prophesy. She wept all the way home explaining to God eventhough He used her many times to speak into people’s lives she was afraid of the office. The Holy Spirit whispered the entire first chapter of Jeremiah word for word to her . God continues to confirm His word today as Prophetess DeBerry ministers in the prophetic, deliverance and healing ministry of Prophetic Wings Evangelistic Ministries.

As a young child growing up in Houston, TX her grandmother who had a prophetic mantle like many of the women in her family, told Lavencia’s mother there was something very special about her and to keep an eye on her. Lavencia’s mother believes her grandmother saw the call of God on her life even as a child. Her eyes were opened to the spirit realm at a very young age and prophetic dreams and utterance proved to be accurate.

She also possessed a gift in music. She became an anointed psalmist and gift to the body of Christ. God affectionately calls her his “music box”. She attained her Bachelors Degree in music, studied vocal jazz, and has performed with many operas, gospel plays and choirs. She was featured as a main soloist at the City Schools Practitioners Summit where she sang the Sandi Patti arrangement of the National Anthem accompanied by an orchestra, band and choir and received a standing ovation. She was featured on Fox 13 News with her choral students in a live interview and performance for Arts Fest 2012 and her School Choir was featured on the first page of the Commercial Appeal in 2011 for an outstanding performance at Arts Fest 2011. Her choral students have been on American Idol, Star Search traveled abroad with Opera Companies and have recording deals in the Gospel Music Industry. It is her belief many of them were divinely placed in her choirs by God. To God be all of the glory!

In 1996 while driving home from a rehearsal she was singing and praising God. The presence of the Lord flooded the car so strong she had to pull over. The Lord told her very clearly to preach the gospel. She attended Jacksonville Seminary where she received her Doctorate by way of World Overcomers Outreach Ministries where she was trained and taught the importance of speaking and confessing the word of God. She served as an Elder, taught various classes and worked with group counseling, evangelism, new members, perfecting classes, and deliverance and was one of the voices heard across the radio broadcast doing prayer and confessions. She graduated from School of the Prophets where she was ordained and licensed. She has taught many classes at Jacksonville Seminary in Olive Branch, MS and The School of the Prophets. Prophetess DeBerry is an anointed speaker and very accurate and keen in the prophetic ministry. God gets all of the glory for His grace. She is also a powerful prayer warrior and flows mightily in the gifts of healing. She gives credit to Holy Spirit for this training and the pastoral mentors and skilled prayer warriors Holy Spirit divinely brought into her life. God has opened doors for her in shelters, prisons,and conferences to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ. She also started a girls mentoring ministry called Talitha Cumi , where young girls between the ages of 13-17 are ministered to spirit, soul and body and encouraged to arise out of obscure situations in life.

She is the author of three books, Shattered But Not Broken, Soul Ties Hidden Covenants of the Heart, and So Loved and Single.
